1. What is EPODION

Erythropoietin (EPO) is a glycoprotein that stimulates the production of red blood cells by regulating the division and proliferation of the erythromyeloid progenitors in the bone marrow as erythropoietin, which is created by and secreted from the kidney.
A deficiency of EPO has been proven to be the major cause of anemia (renal anemia) in patients with chronic renal failure, and EPO is a useful medicament for treating anemia (particularly renal anemia).

2. The feedback regulation of EPO synthesis:

When there is a lack of oxygen in the blood or an increase of the oxygen requirement of a tissue, the kidney synthesizes EPO and EPO boosts the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow.

3. Key Benefits and Features

  1) Efficacy
Reduces the need for transfusions by improving anemia from chronic renal failure.
  2) Safety
      No clinically significant adverse events.
  3) Stability
Stability of EPOSIS®, when it is stored for 24 months and when it is frozen and thawed repeatedly, was proven.
  4) Quality
Produced in a facility that satisfies KFDA standards as recommended by WHO guidance.
